We didn’t build all of this ourselves
Fretso stands on 21 open-source projects and services. Some of them represent decades of work by people we have never met, given away for free. Naming them is the least we can do, and it tells you exactly what you would be running.
The platform
What Fretso itself runs on.
- 01
PostgreSQL
The database every pet, invoice and clinical record lives in — and the thing that enforces who may read what, on every query, rather than trusting the app to remember.
PostgreSQL - 02
Supabase
Postgres hosting, authentication and the API layer over it. Backups, SSL and updates come with it.
Apache-2.0 - 03
React
The interface, from the grooming board to the invoice you print.
MIT - 04
TanStack Router & Query
Routing and data fetching. The reason a screen you have already opened comes back instantly.
MIT - 05
Vite
Builds the app. The bundle a phone downloads is small because of it.
MIT - 06
Deno
Runs the background work — the queue that sends your reminders and receipts.
MIT
The interface
What your staff actually look at all day.
- 01
React
The single-page app that front desk, groomers, vets and boarding staff use.
MIT - 02
Vite
Builds and bundles that interface.
MIT - 03
Tailwind CSS
The styling system, in the product and on this website.
MIT - 04
Radix UI
Accessible dialogs, dropdowns, tabs and tooltips with the keyboard behaviour done properly.
MIT - 05
Recharts
The revenue trend, service-line split and appointment funnel on the dashboard.
MIT - 06
FullCalendar
The booking diary that grooming, vet, boarding and daycare all share.
MIT - 07
Lucide
The icon set through the product, and the geometry behind the icons on this site.
ISC
Payments and messaging
Connected with your own keys, so money lands in your account.
This website
Static, fast, and boring on purpose.
- 01
Astro
Builds these pages to static HTML, so there is no framework to download before you can read anything.
MIT - 02
Cloudflare Pages
Hosting and the CDN that serves this page from somewhere near you.
Commercial - 03
Instrument Serif
The headline face, by Rodrigo Fuenzalida and Jordan Egstad.
OFL-1.1 - 04
Geist
Body and monospace text, by Vercel.
OFL-1.1 - 05
Pacifico
The Fretso wordmark, by Vernon Adams.

Who builds it
Fretso is built by TechNuventra
TechNuventra LLP is a technology consulting and custom software firm working across Pune, Bengaluru, Indore, Kolkata. They advise on strategy, build bespoke software, handle implementation and run managed services, mostly for industrial clients in oil and gas, mining, metals, manufacturing, logistics and energy.
Fretso came out of that practice: the same senior team, pointed at pet care instead of a refinery. It is why the software has real accounting underneath rather than an invoice screen, and why the guardrails are in the logic instead of the training manual.

Pexels doesn’t require attribution. Crediting the photographer costs nothing, so here they are.
